Boss Andre Villas-Boas, whose side are 2/1 with bet365 to finish in the top four, accepts that Tottenham Hotspur's fate in the battle for a Champions League spot is out of their hands.

A 2-2 draw at Chelsea kept Spurs right in the hint for a top-four finish, but they missed a chance to move up into the Champions League qualifying spots and now need a favour from either the Blues or Arsenal. "The destiny's not in our hands anymore," Villas-Boas said. "Hopefully, if we're able to take this to the last game of the season, when we play at home and Arsenal go to Newcastle and Chelsea play Everton, anything can happen. "(But) we don't depend on ourselves anymore." Spurs' remaining two games see them travel to Stoke City and then host Sunderland on the final day of the season, while Arsenal have Wigan and Newcastle to play. Chelsea complete their league programme against Aston Villa and Everton.
