Cross-Sport Multiple: Back Everton to ease past Fulham

Andrew Hughes thinks Everton will get back to winning ways against Fulham on Saturday and help land a cross-sport multiple in the process.

Bet 1: Back Everton to beat Fulham at 1.44

The weekend defeat at the Stadium of Light was a serious blow to Everton's European hopes, but they are not completely out of contention yet, and Saturday's game offers them a golden opportunity to keep up the pressure on those teams currently in the Europa and Champions League qualification places.

Fulham's record in this fixture is poor. They have never won a league game at Goodison Park, and have lost on 20 of their 24 visits, including 12 of the last 13. They have been poor on the road home this season, winning just three games away from Craven Cottage, and are on a run of four games without a win.

To make their task harder, Fulham will have four key players missing through injury and suspension, including Damien Duff, Steve Sidwell and Mahamadou Diarra. Back Everton to bag a routine win.

Bet 2: Back Rajasthan Royals to beat Sun Risers Hyderabad at 1.72

Looking at the names of the teams near the top of the IPL table, the big surprise is the presence of Sun Risers Hyderabad. The newest franchise in the competition was expected to struggle, but thanks to the efforts of Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma and Thisara Perera, they have already notched up five wins.

Saturday's opponents, the often-underestimated Rajasthan can be vulnerable when playing away. Their three defeats in this campaign have all come on the road, but in their Jaipur fortress, they are a different proposition. The pitches there tend to be sluggish and big hitting opponents often find themselves tied down by clever bowling and enthusiastic fielding.

Their batting, so often a weak point, is looking strong this year, with Ajinkya Rahane and Shane Watson supported by Brad Hodge, Owais Shah, the guile of captain Rahul Dravid and some useful all-rounders. They should be able to outscore the Sun Risers whose batting is weaker, in what could be a low-scoring affair.

Bet 3: Back Castleford Tigers to beat Salford City Reds at 2.65

Saturday's Super League encounter at the Salford City Stadium is a basement battle between two teams who've managed just four wins between them in twenty-four games. Salford are currently bottom, with Castleford one place above them.

Caretaker coach Danny Orr has been in charge of Tigers for just two weeks, but the departure of Ian Millward does not seem to have had a negative effect. Castleford secured a win over Widnes in Orr's first Super League game, before going out of the Challenge Cup to Leeds last weekend.

They also expect to have star player Rangi Chase available, despite speculation that he is poised to move to an NRL side. Statistically, Castleford do have the edge this season. In terms of tries, goals and metres gained, they are ahead of Salford, and I think they can edge this one.
