England still on top says Wenger

Premier League

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that the Premier League remains the best in Europe, with the English game 6/1 with bet365 to provide the Champions League winner this season.

Wenger's side and Manchester United have made it safely through to the knockout stages in the Champions League, but Manchester City missed out and holders Chelsea are also on the verge of an early exit. However, Wenger still thinks that England is the place to be, saying: "I would still say England is the strongest, because in England if they want a player, they still get him. As long as that happens you will be the most powerful in Europe. "I don't think we are getting worse. Manchester City has gone out, but you can objectively say they were in a difficult group and they are still a good side as they are top of the Premier League." English clubs have appeared eight times in the last eight Champions League finals, with Liverpool winning the title in 2005, United in 2008 and Chelsea last season.
