Horse Racing: In-form Banoffee to race at Epsom

Trainer Hughie Morrison has decided to race his recent Chester winner Banoffee in next week's Oaks at Epsom.

The three-year-old filly was very impressive at Chester, finishing nearly five lengths clear of Elik, who then went to Goodwood and won by half-a-length. Banoffee is 8/1 with bet365 to win The Oaks, while Secret Gesture can be backed at 5/2. An upbeat Morrison said when asked whether Banoffee would be taking part in The Oaks: "It's obviously worth it because she has more than paid for it in prize money and increased value." Asked whether Kieren Fallon would be riding Banoffee, Morrison added: "Is Fallon booked? I think Fallon is keen to ride."
