Lisicki eyes second Edgbaston title

Sabine Lisicki has welcomed the start of the grass court season and is keen to claim the second Aegon Classic of her career at Edgbaston this week.

The German, who won the title two years ago, eased into the third round of the tournament with a routine 6-4 6-2 victory against Kristyna Pliskova. The fifth seed said afterwards: "I started practicing on the grass last Thursday and right away it felt like I had been playing on it for weeks. It's a great feeling to be back." Also through to the third round is Daniela Hantuchova, who beat the British number one Laura Robson 6-3 6-4. Hantuchova is 10/1 with bet365 to win the Aegon Classic while Lisicki can be backed at 3/1.
