Bet 1: Back Chelsea to beat Sunderland at 1.75

Given his outstanding record, it's baffling why Rafa Benitez gets such a raw deal in the press and from the Chelsea fans. His methods will take time to work, and time is not something Chelsea managers get a lot of, but six goals in midweek will take some of the pressure off after his first three games yielded just a point.

A trip to the Stadium of Light gives the Blues an excellent opportunity to pick up a first league win under their new boss. With Sunderland poised perilously close to the relegation zone, Martin O'Neill is under a bit of pressure himself. Goals are the problem. They've managed just 13 in 14 games and to make things worse, their main goal threat, Steven Fletcher misses this game with an ankle injury.

Chelsea will be boosted by the return of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Daniel Sturridge and should win this one fairly comfortably.

Bet 2: Back Saracens to beat Munster at 2.5

Munster's season has picked up a little of late, but they are still some way off their best. They lie fourth in the Pro12 and defeat against Racing Metro in the Heineken Cup means they've fallen behind Pool 1 leaders Saracens in the race for the automatic qualification spot.

So Saturday's encounter against Sarries assumes huge importance and if the home side fails to win, they will be struggling to qualify for the quarter-finals. Thomond Park is always a tough venue for opposing teams, but Ulster's victory there last season dispelled some of the aura about the place and will give Saracens hope.

They will also be helped by a spate of injuries which has left Munster with four back row forwards, including new signing CJ Stander, unavailable. Saracens got their Aviva Premiership campaign back on track against Gloucester at the weekend and they can pull out another hard-fought victory

Bet 3: Back Mark Selby to beat Mark Davis at 1.4

Of these two semi-finalists, Mark Davis has probably played the better snooker in this tournament. He's beaten John Higgins and Matthew Stevens and is just one game away from reaching his first major final.

Mark Selby's route to the last four has been less straightforward. He was 3-0 down to Ryan Day and 4-0 down to Neil Robertson in his quarter-finals and has had to battle his way through, playing some pretty scrappy snooker.

Another slow start in Saturday's match won't be ideal for the Jester from Leicester, but with the match decided over 17 frames, he has time to grind his opponent down. Nerves might get the better of Davis, whereas Selby is a regular at the business end of tournaments and he is a solid bet to reach the final, a victory that would also return him to the top of the world rankings.
