Wayne Mardle: Lewis to come back to life against Wade

Jackpot has been poor in the Premier League so far but Wayne Mardle fancies a winning performance from Adrian Lewis in Bournemouth on Thursday night...

James Wade v Adrian Lewis

Adrian's form has been so poor in the Premier League that this is already a must-win match for Jackpot. But don't write him off yet.

Wade's struggles have been well documented and he is not in good form at the moment either. Put simply, the Machine is misfiring and Lewis has a real chance of landing a first Premier League win. This game is up for grabs and I think Lewis will edge it with a few moments of magic.

Robert Thornton v Wes Newton

Before we got under way a couple of weeks ago, Robert was the Premier league relegation favourite but not anymore. The Thorn has gained three points from two games and his confidence is at all-time high. Not so for Newton, who has played badly so far - and those are his words not mine. He must improve to worry Thornton.

I think this game will be the catalyst for Wes to kick on and produce the form that has seen him move to world number 5.

Simon Whitlock v Phil Taylor

Taylor has looked edgy in both games so far but that won't last, he'll settle soon and this could be the game that sees the real Phil step up to the mark.

Simon's pace will suit Taylor and I think we could see The Power put up the highest average in this year's PL (beating Barney's 102).

Michael van Gerwen v Raymond van Barneveld

What a game this could be. Both are smooth, pacey and very accurate.  Michael sometimes tenses up against RVB (witness the Grand Slam Final) and if he does so again he will not win. Barney is playing wonderfully well right now and I don't see him losing this.

I'm sitting on the fence by backing the draw.

Andy Hamilton v Gary Anderson

A tough one. The Hammer's games have been hard to call so far and for me - just like last week against Simon Whitlock - this game is all about Anderson. If The Flying Scotsman hits his doubles he wins.

Gary looked a nervous wreck at the end of his match last week, and if he's anything like that he'll get punished. The Hammer can grind a point here.
