Mark Webber will return to Formula One for the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix on 14th April, his father has said.

The Australian confirmed he had thought about "many things" in the closing stages of Sunday's controversial Malaysian Grand Prix in which Sebastian Vettel ignored an order from Red Bull team principal Christian Horner to hold station to take the chequered flag. The three-time Formula One world drivers' champion was behind Webber when they ran first and second following their final pit stops, 14 laps from home. What followed was a bitter post-race debate and speculation Webber, currently third in the early-season drivers' standings, would walk away from the sport. Dismissing the claim, the driver's father, Alan Webber, said: "We'll be up in China for the next one." "I think it will take a while to earn the respect and trust again," he added, speaking to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. "Sebastian disobeyed team orders and most, if not all the team, are disappointed with him." Webber can be backed at 7/1 in the 2013 China Grand Prix race winner market and 20/1 in the 2013 world drivers' championship outright betting.
