Champions League: Juventus - Bayern Munich

Against Pescara Juventus missed a bunch of chances and only found the net deep into the second half through a Mirko Vucinic penalty. Some of the regulars have been rested in the weekend match, so we should see Andrea Pirlo and Giorgo Chiellini back in the starting line-up, and Gianluigi Buffon also missed the game, but is expected to play now. It's bad news that Sebastian Giovinco is a major doubt after picking up a knee injury at the weekend. In this game because of yellow cards in the first leg for Stephan Lichtsteiner and Arturo Vidal mean the duo will miss; especially the missing of Vidal will be a very big blow for Juventus, he is the strongest player in their midfield.

 

Bayern won the german championship yet at this weekend, that means the Bavarian giants can concentrate fully on righting a couple of wrongs in the Champions League..The celebration was very short, because president Hoeneß announced that there is not much time to celebrate currently, instead they should concentrate on Champions League. Javi Martinez returns from suspension and could return to the starting 11, alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger, replacing Luiz Gustavo from the home leg.

 

Bayern Munich suffered a scare in the previous round against Arsenal, so I guess they will be more careful this time. Bayern is simply playing in a much higher level than Juventus. High ball possesion, punishing the opponent for mistakes etc. I wait a narrow game with Bayern's happyness.
