Another humdinger in store at the Lane

England - Premier League

At least one Super Sunday game should see plenty of goals says The Inside Man as he brings us his Under/Over 2.5 Goals selections from this weekend's Premier League action...

Saturday

West Brom v Aston Villa

As far as goal backers are concerned, Aston Villa on the road come with satisfaction almost guaranteed, with the ball having hit the net 23 times in Villa's last five away games.

Paul Lambert's team try to remain compact and play with cohesion, but against the better sides they have been badly exposed, as shown by their 5-0 loss at Man City and their more recent 8-0 thumping against a hugely inconsistent Chelsea.

This is a problem that won't be disappearing any time soon. Lambert also doesn't have time to work on playing more conservatively, as he tries to get his team away from the relegation zone. And so once again he will have to send his brave lemmings to the cliff edge.

West Brom have been in a funk of their own of late. But even then they've still managed to win two of their last five. And win or lose, they continue to entertain, with four of those five games having been high-scoring.

With Lukaku and Benteke looking in good form for their respective sides, and both defences out of sorts, there should be plenty of chances for both teams here.

Recommended Bet: Back Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.92

Swansea v Stoke

Just a point separates these sides in midtable. Both will be quietly happy with their current positions and neither will feel too much pressure to change the way they've been going about things.

For Stoke that's meant keeping things tight on the road. Just eight goals have been scored in their last six away games, with two of those matches ending goalless. For the Potters, every point is treated like a precious stepping-stone towards survival.

Swansea meanwhile have found the goals drying up on them somewhat lately, with two of their last four games ending goalless. They too have the comfort of midtable security though and for manager Michael Laudrup, it's a case of just needing to keep things ticking over at this stage. Four draws and one win in their last five show that the Dane is more than happy to play the waiting game and keep chalking up the single points.

And so a draw seems the most likely outcome here, with a point likely to be enough to satisfy both managers.

Recommended Bet: Back Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.75

Sunday

Chelsea v Arsenal

Chelsea fans must be close to losing their minds as their team continues to put on a sublime showing of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde, with Rafa Benitez in Oscar winning form as the mercurial doctor.

Indeed the only consistency shown by the Blues has been a hapless run of home form that's seen them win just one of their last seven league games at Stamford Bridge. It's been feast or famine for Benitez's side, with the goals either coming in huge dollops, or simply refusing to come out of the bottle. And I sense this could be another one of those frustrating days for the Blues.

Certainly Arsenal will be doing their bit to keep Chelsea frustrated. That has clearly been their gameplan this season on the road. The Gunners boast the joint-best away defence in the division, having conceded just nine goals in their 11 road games, a statistic that must surely bring a smile to the face of boss Arsene Wenger.

But with Arsenal six points off a Champions League place, this is a game from which they have to get something if they're to keep their Euro dream alive.

Recommended Bet: Back Under 2.5 Goals @ 2.3

Tottenham v Man Utd

This fixture has the makings of a real humdinger and I suspect it could even throw-up a rare defeat for the Red Devils.

With 34 goals scored in their last eight games, Sir Alex Ferguson's side have been in top form, stringing-together the wins while still putting on a show for their fans in the process. Of some concern for Fergie though, will be the three goals conceded against both Reading and Newcastle, neither of whom boast the strongest attacks in the division. So far the Scot has gotten away with his approach of trying to outgun his opponents. But eventually his luck is going to run out, and I aspect that time is close at hand.

If ever a team was built to take advantage of United's frailties, then it's Spurs. With the pace of Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale on the flanks, they are perfectly set-up to expose United after they've overcommitted in attack. Throw in the late runs of Dempsey and the goal-poaching of Jermaine Defoe and they have goals threats all over the pitch. But whoever wins, this game should be full of both goals and entertainment.

Recommended Bet: Back Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.68
