Sunday sees Betfair Live Video catch up with the restart of the Danish Superliga followed by a crunch derby from Istanbul...

Brondby vs Randers

Sunday 16:00

After a break of almost three months the Danish SuperLiga returns this weekend and on Sunday the cameras are in Copenhagen to watch Brondby host Randers.

Brondy are the most popular team in the country but have struggled in recent years, the ownership and boardroom situation has been a shambles and they are in desperate  need of new sponsorship and investment in the squad.

With two thirds of the season gone they sit rock bottom of the league, a win this weekend could raise them out of the relegation places but for the most successful  club in Danish football history their position is pretty bleak. Their Lithuanian manager Auri Skarbalius was lucky to get through the winter without loosing his job as  calls for his sacking have been constant.

Brondby Stadium will be full on Sunday with fans hoping 2013 is a little kinder to their beloved team. On the pitch they have a new leader; veteran winger Dennis  Rommedahl has taken the skipper's arm band after Clarence Goodson resigned from the role.

With thirteen matches still to play they have the chance to climb out of trouble and regain some respectability but to do so they will have to start to score more  goals. Apart from the 6'7 Simon Makienok they really pose no threat. The big man has weighed in with nine but no other player has more than a brace. The appalling form  of Nigerian striker Oke Akpoveta who is goalless in fifteen appearances has been indicative of their impotent attack.

Randers are less of a worry, following last years promotion they are enjoying a decent season back in the top flight and are only four points off the Champions League  qualifying places. Colin Todd's side look comfortable but most of their success in 2012 was found at home and they may find the trip to Brondby tough. They will be  hoping that their star man Ronnie Shwartz can maintain his sharpness in front of goal following the winter break.

Brondby should put in a fighting performance at home to kick off the new year and I don't see them getting beaten but with so few goals in either team don't expect  much of an attacking spectacle.

Beºiktaº v Fenerbahçe

Sunday 17:00

Another sizzling Istanbul derby this Sunday from the Turkish SuperLig. This time it's on the European side of the Bosphorous as third placed Besiktas 'welcome' second  placed Fenerbahce to the Inonu Stadium.

The Turkish top tier looks to have boiled down to the three Istanbul giants already and although Galatasaray are six points clear their city rivals are nowhere near  ready to concede defeat. If Gala have a wobble Fenerbahce and Besiktas must be ready to take advantage. With the leaders playing on Saturday the gap to these two could  be nine and ten points by kick off, that would make a win pretty much essential for both these teams on Sunday.

Besiktas are the most exciting team to watch in the league, their gun ho style has seem them score more than anyone else in the country and their goals have not just  come from their strikers. Although Holsko and Almeida have been the most regularly contributors the midfield has also chipped in, especially through Manuel Fernandes  and the ever impressive Olcay Sahan. With the January addition of Mamadou Niang they now have even more options.

They have only been beaten once at home all season but it's actually been a pretty frustrating campaign at the Inonu as they have been held to draws in seven of their  twelve games including the last three. They have won more away games than any other team and that's the reason they remain towards the summit of the table.

Fenerbahce have been even more successful whilst using a different approach, they're tight as a drum at the back. They've won three away matches in a row and will be  full of confidence heading into Sunday's derby.

Since Emre and Webo arrived in the transfer window their play has improved and they're starting to prove increasingly dangerous in attack with more support to Moussa  Sow. They played an effective 'B' team in the Cup on Wednesday and were beaten but it showed where their priorities lay, the big boys will be back for Sunday and will  hope to repeat the performance that saw them beat Besiktas 3-0 earlier in the season.

With the league's best attack meeting the league's best defence it should be a fascinating battle. These derbies are always intense and the bitter rivalry should see  the referee employed a plenty.
