Mike Norman details the In-Play odds matched during an excellent game in Madrid...

Manchester United are 2.16 To Qualify for the next round of the Champions League after holding Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw in the Bernabeu this evening.

The runaway Premier League leaders were expected to struggle against the superstars of Madrid, led of course by former Red Devil Cristiano Ronaldo, but they defended magnificently in the early stages and even took the lead approaching the 20 minute mark.

An incisive United breakaway led to a corner, and the in-swinging cross was met by the head of Danny Welbeck who planted the ball past a stranded Diego Lopez. The United striker was matched at 26.0 in the First Goalscorer market.

But it wasn't long before Jose Mourinho's men were level, and it just had to be that man Ronaldo who got the goal, heading home superbly Angel Di Maria's accurate cross.

The Half Time 1-1 Score was matched at a high of 12.0 In-Play.

It was the home side who dominated much of the second half but it was United who came closest to taking the lead through Robin van Persie. First his fierce shot was tipped on to the crossbar, and then his scuffed shot - with just the goalkeeper to beat - was cleared off the line.

Madrid pressed for the winner but couldn't find a way past man of the match David De Gea in the United goal.

The 1-1 Correct Score was matched at 13.0 with the Draw hitting a high of 5.4. Under 2.5 Goals was matched at 13.5 with the scores at 1-1 with a hour to play.

The return leg at Old Trafford will be played on Tuesday March 5.

In the Champions League Winner market Manchester United can be backed at 11.0, with Real Madrid second favourite at 7.2 behind their Spanish rivals Barcelona (3.05).
