Cricket: Cook hails England win

England captain Alastair Cook was delighted with his side's performance as they recorded an eight-wicket victory over New Zealand on Wednesday.

The tourists have levelled up the ODI series with the win in Napier and have now set up a highly-anticipated decider with the Black Caps in Auckland on Saturday, which England are 8/15 to win with bet365. Cook was pleased with the way his side bounced back from their defeat to the Kiwis in Hamilton, and believes they deserved to win on Wednesday to level the series at 1-1. He said: "I thought the way we bowled up front was outstanding. "Steven Finn and James Anderson really bowled well. We gave them nothing to get going, took some wickets, and put them under pressure. "We knew 270 was probably a little bit below par on that wicket. We knew if we kept our heads batting and kept wickets in hand, as it proved it was quite an easy chase."
