Cricket: England concerned by Broad

28Nov 2012

Bowling coach David Saker is hoping to help out-of-form England fast bowler Stuart Broad get back on track in time for the third Test against India in Kolkata.

The mood among the tourists, who are 10/3 with bet365 to win the series, is buoyant after their stunning ten-wicket win in the second Test which levelled the four-match series at 1-1. However, Broad is yet to take a wicket in the series and Saker admits that the paceman is struggling for form and confidence, with his place under threat from Tim Bresnan and Steven Finn - if he regains full fitness. "It is a bit of an issue," Saker said. "He has not bowled as we would have liked, but he's not the first bowler to come over here and find it hard. "During my tenure as bowling coach I haven't had too many players down in confidence and form. I hope I can do some stuff over the next few days that can help."
