Andrew Hughes thinks Tottenham can extend their lead in the battle for Champions League places and help land a Sunday cross-sport multiple in the process.

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back Tottenham to beat Everton at 2.1

The battle for Champions League places is closer than ever this season and both these teams are in the thick of it. Tottenham are third, six points ahead of sixth-placed Everton, but the Toffees have a game in hand and are hanging in there.

It's been a difficult week for Tottenham, losing star player Gareth Bale to injury, and being held to a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane by FC Basel. They are missing five other first team players, including Aaron Lennon, William Gallas and Jermain Defoe. They've also managed only three wins in their last thirteen against Everton.

But the visitors are missing key personnel of their own. Without Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar they lack direction up front, and they laboured to beat a struggling Stoke team last time. Despite their absentees, Tottenham have more quality in their team and can win this one.

Bet 2: Back Munster to beat Harlequins at 3.3

Sunday's quarter-final at the Twickenham Stoop is between two teams in poor form. Harlequins have lost their last three Aviva Premiership games, leaving them off the pace in third, whilst Munster have managed just one win in five matches in the Pro12 and are in sixth, outside the European qualification places.

The Irish side can boast considerable Heineken Cup experience, with four final appearances and two wins, whereas Harlequins are yet to make the final.

Quins will be boosted by the return of England captain Chris Robshaw, but the visitors will be able to call upon the services of five returning Irish internationals, including Simon Zebo, Paul O'Connell and Donnacha Ryan. Munster have won more away quarter-finals in this competition than any other team and they can edge this one.

Bet 3: Back Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore at 2.5

Sunrisers Hyderabad is the franchise that rose from the ashes of the Deccan Chargers and they had the best possible start on Friday, defending a paltry 126 to beat Pune Warriors and record their first IPL victory,

Sunday's visitors are a tougher proposition. Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Tillakaratne Dilshan and AB De Villiers are four of the best Twenty20 batsmen around. But it is likely that only three of them will play, and after those big names at the top of the order, Bangalore don't have that much strength in depth.

If Gayle gets going he can win the match on his own, but in Dale Steyn, the Sunrisers have a match winner of their own. If he or the in-form Thisara Perera can pick up a couple of early wickets, Bangalore could struggle, as Steyn is also lethal at the end of an innings. Back the Sunrisers to spring a Sunday surprise.
