Cross-Sport Multiple: Chelsea can frustrate Fergie

Andrew Hughes thinks Rafa Benitez's side can earn an FA Cup replay with Manchester United and help land a Sunday cross-sport multiple in the process.

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back the draw at Old Trafford at 3.7

Sunday's big FA Cup quarter-final clash has the potential to be a bad tempered, high scoring affair. Manchester United's players will still be feeling aggrieved after their Champions League exit, and there is little love lost between these teams.

Chelsea have dominated the FA Cup in recent seasons, winning it four times in the last six seasons, and although United have lifted the trophy more often, their last meeting, in the 2007 final, ended in victory for the Blues.

Wayne Rooney is likely to return to the United line-up and will be itching to get involved after being left out against Real Madrid, but Chelsea will be strengthened by the return of Ashley Cole, Juan Mata and Demba Ba. The last six fixtures involving these teams have produced 30 goals, so there could be fireworks, but Chelsea are adept at knock-out football, and they can hold on for a replay.

Bet 2: Back Saracens to beat Sale at 1.6

Sunday's LV Cup Semi Final should be a one-sided affair. Only London Welsh's points deduction is keeping Sale off the bottom of the Aviva Premiership, whilst their opponents Saracens are currently four points clear at the top.

This will be the second time these teams have met in the LV Cup this season. Their pool game ended in a narrow win for Sale, which will give the Sharks some hope of getting beyond the last four of this competition for the first time.

But Saracens have won both of the Premiership games against Sale this season and have only lost once in their last twelve matches in all competitions. They have stuck with the same players who have won six of their seven LV Cup games this season and should have too much firepower for the Sharks.

Bet 3: Back Washington Capitals to beat New York Rangers at 2.1

After going down 3-2 to the Ottawa Senators at the Square Garden on Friday, the Rangers head south to Washington for midday rendezvous with the Capitals. That defeat broke their four game winning streak, but with half the truncated NHL season to go, they are hanging on to the last play-off spot.

The Caps have also seen a winning run ended, with a 5-2 defeat against the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday. They are six points off the play-offs but that was mainly down to a disastrous start to the season, in which they won just two of their first nine fixtures. Things have picked up since then. Play-off contenders Boston and Carolina have both been defeated at the Verizon Centre, and the Caps are five from six at home. Back them to edge out the Rangers on Sunday.
