Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has made it clear that he wants to stay at White Hart Lane amid reports that his former manager Harry Redknapp is attempting to lure  him to QPR in January.

Defoe is Spurs' leading scorer this season with ten goals in all competitions and has played for Redknapp at West Ham, Portsmouth and Tottenham in the past. Reports  had suggested Redknapp was keen to bring the 30-year-old to Loftus Road as he attempts to lift QPR, who are 4/6 with bet365 to be relegated this season, off the foot of the Premier League table. However, Defoe said of the transfer speculation: "That's not going to happen. I'm not leaving Tottenham. I love the club and to score goals at a big club like this is fantastic. "If the opportunity comes to leave the club it won't be happening. I don't want to leave, I'm a Spurs player - and I'm happy. I'd like to finish my career at Tottenham. I want to achieve something special here - it's a great time to be at the club." Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League table and are 5/2 to clinch a top-four spot this season.
