Dijon too hot for Le Mans to handle

Ligue 2

Jonno Turner looks to end the week in style with two more winners from France and Wales.

We're off to France for our penultimate pick of the week, and in-form Dijon host Le Mans at the Stade Gaston Gerard, looking to make it four consecutive wins on their own patch.

Olivier Dall'Oglio's side currently sit seventh in Ligue 2, and are level on points with sixth-placed Istres - with a game in hand.

And half a dozen goals scored in their last three on their own patch shows that, in the likes of Julio Tavares and Koro Koné, the Reds have more than enough quality up top to punish their opponents.

Just one loss in 18 clashes at the Gaston Gerard shows that the home side are playing well on a consistant basis, and that gives me a lot of confidence that they can secure the three points tonight.

Visitors Le Mans have failed to win six of their last seven league outings, and that leaves them sitting in 14th place ahead of this tie.

Denis Zanko's side have won just one of 13 games away from the MMArena, and have not even managed a goal in their last four games on the road, which suggests that they may struggle in this one.

Dijon have won the last two clashes between these sides - and I fancy them to continue that momentum here, too.

Over to the Welsh Premier League now, as Bangor City travel to Bala Town, aiming to avoid defeat for the fifth game from six.

The visitors are currently placed second in the table, and will be full of confidence ahead of this trip - in which a win could put them within touching distance of top side The New Saints.

And a dozen goals scored in their last four outings away from Nantporth, an impressive attacking return by anyone's standards - and one which should stand them in good stead ahead of this clash.

Bala go into this one having failed to win in six consecutive league games, and boss Colin Caton will be feeling the pressure after that miserable run which has left his side floundering in 10th place - just two away from the bottom.

The hosts have not kept a clean sheet in the league since October - and that suggests that they have defensive issues which could have a major bearing on the outcome of this encounter.

Bangor have won eight of their last nine meetings with Bala Town, and I can't see past the away win here either.
