Euro 2012: Italy - Ireland

Italy have a proud footballing tradition and have won the World Cup no fewer than four times which is second only to Brazil. They came within seconds of lifting the European Championships in 2000 before France equalised to send the final into extra time. Italy were European Champions in 1968 and they almost followed that up by winning the World Cup in 1970.

So it would be a big shock to see this great footballing nation be eliminated in the group stages of the 2012 European Championships.
