Sir Alex Ferguson has backed his Manchester United side to grab an away goal in the first leg of their Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Red Devils head to the Bernabeu in good heart, as they currently hold a 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League and Ferguson is confident that his players will impress in the Spanish capital. He said: "I do think we have a good chance of scoring, I really do. And if you do score, then it certainly gives you a better chance when you get back to Old Trafford. "Over 180 minutes, we've definitely got a good chance. The squad is very strong at the moment. If we can come back from Madrid with a decent result then we've got a great chance."
