Newcastle are firmly in the doldrums, crippled by injuries and in the midst of a terrible run which has seen them lose five of their last six league games. Therefore, they will not welcome facing the wounded champions, fresh from a pride-denting derby defeat and replete with Tevez, who was pivotal to City's comeback against Manchester United and will surely be handed a starting spot here.
