Golf: Schwartzel back to build a base

2010 and 2011 winner Charl Schwartzel, 3/1 with bet365 for a third victory, will return after a six-week break to challenge for victory at the Joburg Open.

Schwartzel ended last year with back-to-back victories at the Thailand Open and the Alfred Dunhill Championship - both by more than ten shots - before taking time off to rest up for the 2013 season. Now the 2011 Masters champion is back and says he will be happy with a solid display on home soil. He told Supersport: "I did some practice and didn't miss that part of it, but I did miss the competitiveness of it. I've watched the guys playing and I miss being in contention, so I'm looking forward to getting back and competing again. "My body feels a little fresher after the break. I just want to start off in a nice consistent way. I want to start off on a good base and build from there."
