England - Premier League

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright is prepared to take his time as he begins the process of finding a new manager following David Moyes decision to join Manchester United.

The 50-year-old former Preston North End boss has agreed a six-year contract at Old Trafford after spending more than a decade with Everton. Kenwright said: "Eleven years ago I made a decision to appoint David Moyes and it was an instant decision. I don't think that can happen this time. We have to see what candidates are out there to take the club forward. "We could not stand in David's way because he was out of contract. It was his decision; he has made it." A host of names have already been linked with the post including Celtic boss Neil Lennon, who is 7/4 with bet365 to be Everton's next manager, and Wigan Athletic's Roberto Martinez, who is available at 5/2.
