Kompany keen for a big finish

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany has challenged his side to end the season on a high note, despite their Premier League crown being all but lost.

The Citizens have an FA Cup semi-final still to look forward to, while they are also keen to secure second place in the Premier League behind champions elect Manchester United. Kompany, whose side are 15/8 with bet365 to win the league again next season, believes that City's performances in the next few weeks will have a big bearing on how they start next term. The Belgium defender said: "I always remember the way we finished the season back in 2011. "We finished on equal points with Chelsea, we secured a place in the Champions League and won the FA Cup. The year after that we went on to win the title. "The end of the season has an impact on how you start the next one."
