Lyon stand in Spurs way

Spurs will have to play French side Lyon in the last 32 of the Europa League while Liverpool face the 2008 winners Zenit St Petersburg.

Last season's Champions League winners Chelsea play Sparta Prague and Newcastle United will come up against the Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv. Zenit, 16/1 with bet365 to win this season's Europa League, beat Rangers 2-0 in the 2008 final and won the Russian League in the 2011-12 season, finishing two points clear of second-placed CSKA Moscow. Spurs, 18/1 to win this season's Europa League, need to get past a Lyon side that finished fourth in the French League last term. They won seven successive domestic titles between 2002 and 2008 and have been Champions League regulars in the last decade.
