Everton made hard work of overcoming League One side Oldham in the fifth round. Now they face Premier League opposition for the first time in this year's competition and, although Wigan were thumped by Liverpool on Saturday, the Latics have already triumphed three times on the road in the FA Cup this season. If Cheltenham, Oldham and Bolton can breach the Toffees then, in theory, Wigan can too, though Everton have only failed to register at Goodison Park once in all competitions this season.

Manchester City v Barnsley (Saturday, 17:30, ESPN)

The Citizens have kept six clean sheets in their last seven games in all competitions at the Etihad

Manchester City won't concede the title just yet but realistically this competition represents their only hope of a trophy, so you fear for Barnsley. Leeds were the last Championship visitors to the Etihad Stadium in the fifth round and they were shown little mercy in a thumping 4-0 win. Roberto Mancini's side followed up that win with two more shut-out victories against Chelsea and Aston Villa and should have more than enough quality to dole out the same treatment to the Tykes.

Millwall v Blackburn (Sunday, 14:00, ESPN)

Blackburn have only lost one of their last six trips to Millwall in all competitions (W4 D1)

This all-Championship quarter-final tie offers welcome respite to fans of both sides, who've witnessed their teams' league form fall through the floor recently. Aside from their fourth round triumph over Aston Villa back in January, Kenny Jackett's side have been suffering at The Den. Home fans have witnessed three straight defeats and, although Michael Appleton's side are also in poor league form, Rovers are actually one of only two teams not to have conceded in this year's competition.

Manchester United v Chelsea (Sunday, 16:30, ITV)

Javier Hernandez has netted in five of his last six games against the Blues in all competitions

There's nothing like a wounded animal scenario to add an extra sprinkling of spice to this already tasty looking fixture. Sir Alex Ferguson will be desperate to get Real Madrid out of his system and his players will be under no illusion as to what this game means. In the previous three rounds, the Scot has handed starts to his Mexican striker and been handsomely rewarded with three goals. Hernandez should feature again, especially given his record against Chelsea.
