However, since that season high point it's apparent their minds have not been able to refocus on the league campaign as they plan which remote island to bask on come June. With Chelsea now a little close for comfort, expect Roberto Mancini's men to punish any such daydreaming.

QPR v Arsenal (Saturday, 17:30, ESPN)

Arsenal have scored exactly one goal in seven of their last eight Barclays Premier League meetings with Queens Park Rangers

For all Arsenal's supposed good form, the Gunners have actually only been able to muster two goals and one win from their last three outings, albeit one of those games came against the champions. The continued suspension of their attacking focal point Olivier Giroud will not help the visitors' chances of finding the net either, while toothless QPR have now gone over four-and-a-half hours without scoring a Premier League goal.

Sunderland v Stoke (Monday, 20:00, Sky Sports 1)

Sunderland have won three and lost none of their four previous Barclays Premier League home meetings with Stoke, keeping four clean sheets in the process

It must have been fun to be a Sunderland player at training this week after their televised thrashing by Aston Villa a week prior to this game led Paolo Di Canio to publically apologise for the Black Cat's dire performance. After shipping six at Villa Park, attempting to shut Stoke out will be the Italian's main priority. The reverse fixture produced a forgettable stalemate, while Sunderland have registered more than one goal in only one of their last seven league games.
