Wilshere draws Chelsea inspiration

Midfielder Jack Wilshere has called on Arsenal to take inspiration from Chelsea's march to glory last season when they face Bayern Munich in the last-16 of the Champions League.

Having crashed out of the FA Cup at the weekend, the Gunners' last hope of silverware lies in Europe, with Arsenal 40/1 with bet365 to win the Champions League. They play host to Bayern on Tuesday in the first leg of their last-16 match-up, with Wilshere hoping that his side can emulate the success enjoyed by Chelsea last season. He told reporters: "Chelsea are an inspiration for everyone. They weren't having a good season and, okay, they got a bit lucky in some games. "But they showed great character and we need to do that. "We know what Bayern are capable of, they have a great team. We have beaten big European teams here before, so now we need to do it again."
