Xavi accepts impossible task

Barcelona captain Xavi has admitted that his side now face a 'practically impossible' task to try and reach the Champions League final.

The Catalans were routed 4-0 by Bayern Munich in the first leg of their semi-final and now have a mountain to climb in the second leg in the Camp Nou, with Barca 18/1 with bet365 to reach the final. "We are Barca and we have got to try to get to the final," the Spain midfielder said. "We need to play a great game, but we know at the same time that it is practically impossible. "They were quicker than us and it was like a siege. We expected it to be like this, they are very strong physically and they were better than us." The last time Bayern and Barca met in the Camp Nou was in the 2008/09 Champions League, with the game in the Catalan capital ending in a 4-0 victory for the home side.
